The Information and Publication (I&P) unit of the Directorate of Extension plays a
vital role in connecting the research excellence of SKUAST-K with the farming
community. Our mission is to ensure that innovative agricultural technologies and
scientific advancements/protocols/guidelines developed at the university reach
farmers in a timely, accessible, and practical manner.
We adopt a multimedia outreach strategy integrating television, radio, print, and
digital platforms to ensure the widest and most effective dissemination of knowledge
to farmers and other stakeholders.
Mass Media Outreach
We collaborate with:
1. Doordarshan Kendra, Srinagar – Telecasts of events, expert talks,
training programmes, and coverage of SKUAST-K activities.
2. All India Radio – Regular broadcasts of expert interviews, seasonal
advisories, and updates on agricultural innovations.
