  • To determine the biochemical composition of key feed ingredients available locally and enter all values for feed ingredients into a data base used to formulate feeds.
  • Development of cost effective fish feed for coldwater fish species from locally available ingredients.
  • Improvement of growth and survival of commercially important coldwater fish species through feed additives.
  • Train professionals and fish farmers to manage the feed manufacturing units (industrial & farm level) as well as develop newer and cheaper feeds for the farmed species, with special focus on coldwater species like trout, snow trouts, mahseers etc.
