Veterinary Physiology

  1. To adopt a leadership role in the teaching of Veterinary Physiology through relevant and innovative teaching programs supported by appropriate and internationally recognized research activities, driven by suitable qualified, dedicated and motivated personnel.
  2. To be a centre of excellence in training, research, outreach and consultancy services in veterinary physiology, biomedical, behavioural and environmental sciences in order to achieve better animal performance and sustainable and secure livelihoods.
  3. To explore the local animal genetic resources, their physiological significance and exploitation to improve animal health, production and reproduction for better socioeconomic status of poor small marginal livestock farmers.
