Mandate
Mandate: -
Provide remedial measures, technical know-how to animal owners and veterinary professionals / concerned personnel on disease management and control in livestock with emphasis on diagnosis, treatment, bio-security and vaccination strategies of important diseases in their animals
Provide awareness about the recent trends in diagnosis/control and emerging diseases through trainings and personal interactions .
Data collection and analysis to develop and test hypotheses related to disease patterns
in livestock to allow veterinary epidemiologists to better understand potential risks of disease occurrence and how to prevent epidemics.
Human Resource Development by conducting shout term Programs and trainings in an attempt to
prepare veterinarians to investigate and evaluate disease and production problems in animal populations
so as to design, evaluate, and implement disease control or other veterinary services programs for the benefit of field veterinarians and animal owners.
