75 percent of intake capacity in each discipline of Masters Degree Programme are filled by Board of Professional Entrance Examination, Government of Jammu & Kashmir on the basis of merit drawn at Common Entrance Test. The remaining 25% seats are filled through nominees of Development Departments of Government of Jammu & Kashmir and SKUAST-K. Besides seats, equivalent to 25% of intake capacity, over and above intake capacity, are filled by nominees of ICAR on the basis of All India Common Entrance Test in each discipline. Duration and Eligibility Requirements | Programme | Minimum Duration | Maximum Duration | Eligibility Requirements | | Masters Degree Programme in Agriculture | 4 Semesters | 4 Years | For all M.Sc/M.V.Sc programmes a candidate must have Bachelor's Degree in the related field and OGPA of 2.80 on 4.00 point scale or 6.75 on 10.00 point scale or 55% of aggregate marks in traditional system and must have GPA of 3.00 on 4.00 point scale or 7.00 on 10.00 point scale or 60% marks in traditional system in the subject concerned. The candidate possessing B.Sc (Horticulture) are eligible for admission to Masters degree programme in Pomology/ Floriculture/Olericulture/ Entomology/Plant Pathology/ Sericulture. In case of M.Sc (Enviironmental Science), the candidate with Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture, Fisheries Science, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Engineering are eligible for admission to Masters Degree Programme in Environmental Scioences. In case of M.Sc (Forestry), the candidate must possess B.Sc (For), B.Sc (Agriculture/Horticulture) degree. In case of of M.Sc (Sericulture) degree programme, a candidate must possess B.Sc(Agriculture), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc (Sericulture) and a Science graduate with P.G diploma in Sericulture. In case of M.F.Sc (Fisheries Sciences), the candidate must possess B.F.Sc. or B.Sc. with Industrial Fish/Fisheries. In respect of inservice candidates having Basic Degree in life Science (i.e. B.Sc. with Zoology) should have atleast 05 years experience in areas of Fishery Science.
