The information and publication section of this directorate disseminate agriculture technologies to farming community that are derived from research activities of SKUAST-K. These activities are being undertaken through mass media which includes T.V and Radio talks of scientists and publishing package of practices, spray schedules, pamphlets, leaflets, booklets and informative messages under print media for the overall benefit of the farming community.

Use of mass media through Doordarshan and Radio as well as print media (Publications, pamphlets, leaflets, informative messages etc.) is ensured on regular basis. During the last six years, 417 radio talks and 1035 TV talks were delivered by the scientists on a wide range of topics. Besides, 64 publications and 62 messages in the form of technology package, booklets (and CDs), spray schedules, folders, pamphlets etc. were released for the benefit of end users. 45 technologies received from ICAR were translated in Kashmiri language for benefit of farming community. This was in accomplishment of directives of first National KVK Workshop at Delhi, given by Hon'able President ICAR. Live Phone-in Programmes were also being delivered through Krishi Darshan on every Thursday.
