Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) with a financial support of Rs.42.6 Lakh by ICAR is fully functional at the Main Campus. ATIC is a Single window technology delivery system introduced by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) which was promoted all over the country at every SAU, under National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP). Farmers, rural entrepreneurs, extension workers and citizens interested in agriculture are the targeted beneficiaries of ATIC. As a single window support system link itself with the various divisions and research and extension units of the University in order to serve the intermediary users and end users (farmer) in decision making and problem solving. Information on new varieties and agro-techniques developed by the University are disseminated through ATIC. |

Diagnostic services through plant/animal clinic at ATIC:
Plant/Animal clinic is largely a plant and animal protection center established at ATIC to render prompt advisory service to the farmers in respect of plant/animal health problems caused by biotic and abiotic stresses through the actual diagnosis of plant samples and by examining the animals. Generally these clinics are dependent on scientists engaged in research in the parental department. The services of scientists hailing from different disciplines are provided on all working days to diagnose the samples. The Centre, besides ensuring availability of technical know-how and farm-inputs (particularly seeds) is also equipped with a Kissan Call Centre to address the problems of farming community. About 12195 farmers have visited ATIC since its establishment 2002-2006 for purchasing seed/Plant materials, 2271 availed diagnostic services and for purchase of the material 1596 farmers visited ATIC.
